Willa Mamet
I Need Space Co-Founder and Chapter ONE alumni, Willa Mamet, will be singing to us from her home in Oakland, CA!
Singer and songwriter, Willa Mamet was born in a trunk and raised by performers of all kinds. She’s made music since about that time, singing irrepressibly and playing piano and guitar. With her musical partner, Paul Miller, she recorded two albums, East Hill Road and Let Somebody Love You, both of which won the VT Times Argus “Tammy” Album of the Year in 2013 and 2015.
Her next album, produced by Julie Wolf, will be born 2020. Meanwhile, she plays out sola, with Miller, and with Genesis Fermin as Power Snatch, bringing her unique blend of rapier tongue and honey heart to audiences everywhere.
Hear the voice that Patti Lupone calls, “Heartbreaking. Musical. Contemporary and ancient.”

Hannah Cooper
In the years leading up to the release of her spectacular, multi-dimensional full-length debut I’M RIGHT HERE, emerging indie artist Hannah Cooper has won or been nominated for countless folk awards. While the exquisite voiced singer/songwriter has earned comparisons to Joni Mitchell, the intimate, soulfully crafted collection showcases deep jazz and swing sensibilities. This folk/jazz hybrid, and her unique alternating use of piano and acoustic guitar accompaniment, lays the foundation for a fresh vibe that defies genre categorizations. At the heart of everything is her keen sense of storytelling, which commands rapt attention no matter what the musical atmosphere may be. Keeping honesty and heart on the tip of her pen, she has produced a body of work that remains truly and entirely unto itself.
